Frequently asked Questions about FDN.

Q: What kind of tests does FDN use?

A: FDN uses standard functional lab testing, exactly like that used by Naturopaths or Accupuncturists. 

Q: Will my insurance pay for these tests?

A: Like most questions that start "Will my insurance pay...", this depends on your insurance company.   However, these are standard functional tests, and some medical insurance companies will pay for them.  Your insurance will not cover our consultation fees.

Q: How will I get the tests run?

A:  The tests use saliva, stool or blood.  For saliva or stool tests, we will give you (or ship you) the test kit, and you will collect the samples yourself, at home, and ship the test in (prepaid Fedex).  For blood tests, you will go to your local lab, and tell them that you have an outside test.  There is often a small fee for drawing blood this way.  The lab will do your draw and ship the kit for you.  The only blood test we use is the MRT food sensitivity panel.

Q: What kind of payment do you accept for consultation fees?

A: We accept personal checks or credit cards, via Pay Pal.  If you wish to use a credit card, we will email you an invoice, and you enter your credit card number, just like buying something online.  You do not have to have your own Paypal account to do this, and it is completely secure.

Q: What kind of payment does the test lab accept?

A: The main lab we use accepts Visa, Mastercard Discover, and personal checks, money orders or cashier's checks.

Q: How long does it take to get the test results?

A: Test results are ready in about two weeks.  They are emailed to your practitioner, and you receive your copy at our next consultation.
